Work With Us
Join the team
Be part of the team that brings Camp Kahuna to life each summer. Our staff lead camper groups, run activities, bring energy to camp-wide events and help create the friendships, traditions and experiences that make Kahuna special.
Working at Kahuna is more than a summer job. Staff build leadership skills, gain hands on experience working with children and become part of a close camp community. We look for people who are positive, energetic, responsible and ready to make a difference in a camper’s summer.
All staff complete pre camp training, hold valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification, and submit a police check before the summer begins.

Positions we're hiring
Senior Leaders (Camp Counsellors)
Our Senior Leaders are the heart of the Camp Kahuna experience. You’ll spend your summer leading a group of campers, building relationships, running activities and games, and creating the kind of camp memories kids talk about long after summer is over.
We’re looking for energetic, responsible and outgoing individuals who love working with children and aren’t afraid to jump into the action. From creek adventures and camp-wide games to helping a nervous camper feel at home, Senior Leaders help make every camper feel included, supported and excited to be at Camp Kahuna.
Applicants must be 18+. Previous camp or youth leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Extreme Team Advisor
Help develop the next generation of Camp Kahuna leaders!
Our Extreme Team is Camp Kahuna’s leadership development program, similar to a traditional Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) program. As the Extreme Team Advisor, you’ll lead and mentor teens as they develop the skills and confidence needed to become successful camp staff.
You’ll provide coaching, feedback and encouragement while teaching leadership, communication, teamwork, initiative and how to positively engage with younger campers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring young people and helping emerging leaders discover what they’re capable of.
Applicants must be 18+. Previous camp, leadership or youth mentorship experience is strongly preferred.
Camp Maintenance & Support Staff
Great camp experiences depend on a lot happening behind the scenes! Our Camp Maintenance & Support Staff help keep Camp Kahuna clean, organized, safe and ready for each day’s adventures.
Responsibilities include daily camp set-up and clean-up, setting up and tearing down games and special events, refilling water stations, completing washroom checks and hygiene cleaning, garbage and recycling removal, maintaining clean program and common areas, organizing equipment, and helping with general property and operational needs throughout the day.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking and takes pride in keeping camp looking its best. You should be comfortable working independently, being outdoors and jumping in wherever an extra set of hands is needed.
