Camp Kahuna’s main home is Camp Sidrabene, 65 acres of outdoor space along the Niagara Escarpment, complete with a swimming pool, fields, forest, trails and Bronte Creek running through the property. A day at camp can mean swimming, exploring the creek, taking on scavenger hunts, playing camp-wide games and gathering around the campfire. Just five minutes away, Forest Camp takes the adventure even further at Mt. Nemo Scout Camp, where campers explore the trails, build shelters, learn outdoor skills and gather around the fire.

Camp Kahuna has been creating unforgettable summers since 1995. Families join us from Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown and communities across the GTA, and nearly seven in ten campers return the following summer. Many grow up at Kahuna, returning year after year until they are ready to join the Extreme Team, take on new responsibilities and begin becoming the next generation of camp leaders.

Leadership is part of camp at every age. At Kahuna, leadership can be as simple as welcoming someone new, encouraging a teammate, helping someone who is struggling or stepping forward to explain a game. Our counsellors and camp directors create opportunities for campers to practise these skills throughout the day. Your child doesn’t have to be the fastest, the loudest or the most outgoing to be a leader. They simply need opportunities to discover what they’re capable of.

Days at Kahuna are meant to be spent outside. Campers explore the trails, race across the sports field, cross the bridge to the creek, splash through the water and experience the kind of summer adventures that don’t happen sitting indoors. Shoes come home muddy, clothes come home wet and campers come home tired from a day well spent.

Overnight camp brings the Kahuna experience together for one unforgettable week in August. Campers stay on site in cabins with their group, spend their days exploring and taking part in activities, and experience some of the biggest traditions and events of the summer, including the foam party, carnival and glow party. It’s a week filled with friendship, independence, adventure and the kind of camp memories that last long after summer ends.

Where is Camp Kahuna?

Camp Sidrabene, 5100 Appleby Line in Burlington, is the main site. It's 65 acres on the Niagara Escarpment with a pool and Bronte Creek running through it. Forest Camp runs at Mt. Nemo Scout Camp, 4894 Side Road 2, about five minutes away.

Do you take families from Oakville?

Yes. Camp Kahuna is in Burlington and families come from Burlington, Oakville and the towns around them.

What camps do you run?

Four. Day camp at Sidrabene, Forest Camp at Mt. Nemo, an overnight session in August, and the Extreme Team leadership programme for ages 13 to 16.

When does registration open?

Registration for 2027 opens on Saturday, January 2, 2027, through the Camp Kahuna booking portal.

How old does my child have to be?

Day camp and Forest Camp take campers aged 5 to 12. Overnight camp is for ages 7 to 12, and the Extreme Team is for ages 13 to 16.

How many counsellors are there for each group?

Day camps run at 9 campers to each staff member. Overnight camp runs at 10 to 1. Every staff member holds Standard First Aid and CPR and has a police vulnerable sector check, and the pool is supervised by certified lifeguards.

What does a week of camp cost?

Day camp and Forest Camp are $395 a week. Overnight camp is $975 for the full week and $600 for the half week. The Extreme Team is $600 for a two-week session and $300 for the one-week session in August. Before and after care is $50 a week or $10 a day.

How do we see photos from the week?

Photo consent is part of registration. If you would rather your child not appear in camp photos, choose the opt-out option when you register. Photos from the week are posted in the parent photo area, which is for Camp Kahuna families.
