Extreme Team

Camp Kahuna’s Extreme Team is a premier leadership program for youth aged 12 to 15, specifically designed to fill the gaps left by a modern, screen-heavy world. Today’s youth often miss out on crucial, real-world interpersonal development; the Extreme Team counters this by immersing participants in hands-on workshops and active camp mentorship.

Our Story

Our Program

Extreme Team members arrive at camp at 7:50 a.m. each morning. From 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., they participate in dedicated team-building activities and learn essential leadership techniques.

Afterward, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., they are fully immersed in the camp program, working alongside a senior staff member. They assist with camper supervision, help run activities, and get a real feel for what it's like to be a camp leader. We make sure that learning is always fun!

Mentorship and Leadership Development

Our program is led by a team of senior staff who act as caring mentors and role models. They are dedicated to helping Extreme Team members build confidence and reach their full potential. Scott Graham, the founder of Kids 4 Kids and Camp Kahuna, also contributes to the instruction.

Our main objectives are to help members:

  • Improve confidence, communication, and time-management skills.

  • Develop strategies to overcome obstacles and solve problems.

  • Understand group dynamics and different leadership styles.

  • Earn valuable volunteer hours toward their OSSD.

  • Recognize the importance of serving others and building a caring community.

The program curriculum covers topics essential for future leaders, including:

  • Building a strong personal brand.

  • Group management and working with challenging behaviours.

  • How to design and teach unique camp programs and games.

  • Developing a campfire program.
